A TRAINING SEMINAR ON THE CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES WAS HELD
On June 30, 2026, a training seminar on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was held at the United Nations building in Ashgabat. The representatives of the country’s mass media, as well as faculty members and students of Magtymguly Turkmen State University and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan attended it. The training was conducted by Ms. Ksenia Siminchuk, a specialist from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), who is currently on a working visit to Turkmenistan.
During the seminar, the international expert Ms. Ksenia Siminchuk spoke about the ongoing efforts of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to promote the social inclusion of persons with disabilities, protect their rights, and support initiatives aimed at expanding their opportunities. Held in an interactive format featuring various activities and open discussions, the seminar proved to be highly engaging and productive.
