LECTURE BY THE EUROPEAN UNION AMBASSADOR TO TURKMENISTAN
On 18 November 2025, Ms. Beata Peksa, the European Union Ambassador to Turkmenistan gave a lecture titled “Building Regional Resilience: The EU’s Strategy and Action for Central Asia” at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Professors, lecturers, and students of our institute took part in the event.
During the lecture, Ms. Beata Peksa told the audience in detail about the EU's foreign policy, its structure and features of interaction with the Union, priority areas of activity and ongoing projects covering various industries. In addition, they discussed in detail the bilateral and multilateral negotiations, as well as the EU's relations with Central Asian countries.
The active dynamics of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU, which is developing both on a bilateral basis and in the Central Asia–European Union format, was highlighted. Turkmenistan has successfully implemented technical projects of the European Union in the fields of science and education, ecology, improvement of legislation, energy, as well as in a number of other priority areas.
At the end of the meeting, the participants asked the guest a number of questions of interest to them, receiving reasoned answers that contribute to a deeper understanding of the topics discussed.
