OLYMPIAD FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS
REGULATIONS
on the IV Olympiad in the History of Turkmenistan, Mathematics, Turkmen, and English languages, organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan for 12th-grade students of the country’s secondary schools under the motto: “Watanyň daýanjy – bilimli ýaşlar, Arkadagly Gahryman Serdaryň guwanjy ýaşlar!” in honor of International Day of Education, proclaimed by the United Nations
Our Esteemed President of Turkmenistan, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, exert tremendous efforts to ensure that the youth – the bright future of our Motherland – find their worthy place in society and become true masters of their chosen professions.
With the aim of further enhancing effective vocational guidance for schoolchildren and developing their talents, these Regulations have been developed for the organization and conduct of the IV Olympiad in the History of Turkmenistan, Mathematics, Turkmen, and English languages among 12th-grade students of the country’s secondary schools. The Olympiad is held under the motto “Watanyň daýanjy – bilimli ýaşlar, Arkadagly Gahryman Serdaryň guwanjy ýaşlar!” and is dedicated to the International Day of Education, proclaimed by the United Nations.
General Provisions
These Regulations constitute the official normative document defining the procedure for organizing and conducting the Olympiad. During this period of the harmonious integration of Turkmenistan’s education system into the global scientific and educational space, a key objective is to identify talented and capable youth who are devoted to the Motherland, their people, and the President of Turkmenistan. The Olympiad is aimed at revealing and refining the intellectual level of the country's schoolchildren and identifying talented youth capable of applying innovative technologies and independently solving complex problems within Turkmenistan’s dynamically developing market economy.
Goals and Objectives of the Olympiad
The primary goals and objectives of the Olympiad are: identification of the most talented and capable schoolchildren; evaluation of students' knowledge levels in academic disciplines included in the entrance examination syllabus; support and development of intellectual skills and creative talents among the youth in various fields of science.
Procedure for Organizing and Conducting the Olympiad
Students in the 12th grade of all secondary schools in our country are eligible to participate. To enter, an application containing the relevant information is sent to the following email address by March 20, 2026: parahatchylygynchaparlary@gmail.com
Confirmation of participant registration is sent to their email addresses by April 3, 2026. This message specifies the exact date and time of the Olympiad.
Date of Stage I of the Olympiad:
April 6, 2026, at 09:00.
Lists of students who successfully pass Stage I are sent to the Main Education Directorates; participants qualifying for Stage II receive a notification through their email address.
Date of Stage II of the Olympiad:
April 27, 2026, at 09:00.
Venues for Stage II:
* Ashgabat City, Arkadag City, and Ahal Velayat – at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan;
* Balkan Velayat – at the Balkanabat Oil Secondary Vocational School of the “Türkmennebit” State Concern;
* Dashoguz Velayat – at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute;
* Lebap Velayat – at the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute;
* Mary Velayat – at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.
Procedure for Determining and Awarding Winners
1. The list of winners and runners-up of the Olympiad who score the highest number of points is approved by the Order of the Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
2. Participants who win I, II, and III places, as well as those granted incentive awards based on the Olympiad results, are awarded honorary certificates and souvenirs. The official award ceremony takes place on May 8, 2026, as part of the “Open Door Day”.
