On October 19, 2026, a scientific-practical conference titled “State Policy on Youth: Legal and Administrative Foundations of State-Building”, organized by the Department of International Law and Comparative Legal Studies at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was held. The conference was moderated by Aýbölek Geldiýewa, a lecturer in the Department of International Law and Comparative Law Studies. Representatives from the Institute of State, Law, and Democracy of Turkmenistan, as well as students and faculty members from the Institute, delivered presentations. During the discussions, special emphasis was placed on the insights shared by the esteemed President in his book, “Ýaşlar-watanyň daýanjy/Youth is the support of the motherland”, in which he states: “We view the youth as the builders of the future of our beloved Motherland. We place special trust in the young generations of our country to achieve lofty goals”.
In our country, significant importance is attached to the legal and administrative foundations of the state policy on youth, as well as to the role of youth in state-building. The work extensively covers issues such as protecting the rights of the younger generation, ensuring their contribution to state administration, and strengthening the legislative framework. The book places great emphasis on modernizing the legal foundations of youth policy and on the revised version of the Law of Turkmenistan “On State Policy on Youth”. This Law incorporates various incentives aimed at ensuring the economic independence of young people, fostering entrepreneurship, and facilitating their active participation in public life.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero Arkadag, and to our esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for the extensive opportunities being created to further refine the legal and administrative foundations of the state policy on youth, to strengthen the role of the younger generation in state-building, and to ensure the active participation of youth in the large-scale reforms being implemented in our country.
