Exhibition-fair “KINDNESS THAT CHANGES THE WORLD”
REGULATIONS
on holding the exhibition-fair “KINDNESS THAT CHANGES THE WORLD” among university students of the country, organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on the occasion of World Children’s Day on November 20
In 1954, the UN General Assembly adopted a special resolution on the celebration of World Children’s Day. The main objective of establishing this day is to intensify the activities and initiatives of the United Nations aimed at the well-being of children worldwide. In its resolution, the UN General Assembly notes that the global celebration of World Children's Day will contribute to strengthening solidarity and cooperation among nations.
In connection with World Children’s Day, a number of international documents concerning the protection of the rights of the younger generation were also adopted. Among them, the “Declaration of the Rights of the Child”, adopted on November 20, 1959, and the “Convention on the Rights of the Child”, adopted on November 20, 1989, deserve special attention. Ensuring children’s rights is an important component of national legislation. Turkmenistan has joined key international legal instruments in this field, including the World Declaration on the Survival, Protection and Development of Children, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
Humanistic principles find reflection in legal acts that guarantee the provision and protection of the rights and legitimate interests of children; in a system of effective economic measures; in specific social initiatives aimed at the full integration into society of orphans and children left without parental care; as well as in work to prepare them for independent living, foster high moral qualities, patriotism, and a sense of civic responsibility. Strengthening the health of the younger generation, which requires state support, is one of the priority tasks of the state. In this regard, on November 20, 2026, an exhibition-fair with the participation of higher education institutions of the country is held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
