ADVOCACY MEETING
On July 4, 2023, a advocacy meeting was held within the framework of the World Day to fight against drug addiction and illegal drug trafficking, jointly organized by the United Nations Permanent Coordinator's Office in Turkmenistan and the State Committee for Physical Education and Sports of Turkmenistan in the Olympic town of Ashgabat. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Internal Affairs, Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the State Committee on Physical Education and Sports, and young ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals.
At the meeting, the representatives of the relevant agencies spoke about the fight against illegal drug trafficking and talked about the effective work being carried out in this field in the country. Also, during the meeting ideas were discussed to prevent the use of drugs among the youth and to protect them from bad habits.
At the end of the meeting the participants took a photo together.
