A session of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy was conducted
On March 19, 2024, the subsequent seminar of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy was convened at the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.
This lesson was attended by students of the course «Preventive Diplomacy» of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as participants of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy.
During the lecture, Natalia Chemaeva, a specialist in the water management project at the Regional Center, talked about climate change, water issues, environmental concerns and Sustainable Development Goals, besides highlighting the work of the Regional Center in these areas. Furthermore, N.Chemaeva apprised the attendees about the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Convention on the «Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes» and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Throughout the course at the center, participants had the opportunity to ask N.Chemaeva questions that they were interested in.
