A TRAINING SESSION ON PREVENTIVE DIPLOMACY WAS HELD WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF A VETERAN DIPLOMAT
On February 26, 2026, a training session on “Preventive Diplomacy" entitled “Non-violent Methods of Resolving Military-Political Conflicts”, that had been organized by the Training Center for Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan, was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The session was led by Kakajan Mommadov, Senior Lecturer at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, holder of the insignia “Türkmenistanyň ussat Diplomaty”.
During the lesson, the veteran diplomat highlighted the relevance of preventive diplomacy in contemporary global politics. He spoke in detail about the significance of the work carried out by specialized United Nations political bodies in maintaining global peace and ensuring sustainable development. The mentor emphasized that preventive diplomacy remains the primary tool for assisting states in identifying and averting military-political threats that jeopardize peace and security.
The regular organization of such meetings at the national school of Turkmen diplomacy contributes significantly to broadening the political horizons of students and enhancing their professional skills in this field.
