SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SECTOR AND ECOSYSTEM PROTECTION – TURKMENISTAN’S INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVES AND EXPERIENCE
On March 24, 2025, a training session entitled "Sustainable Energy Sector
and Ecosystem Protection – Turkmenistan’s International Initiatives and
Experience" was held at the Scientific and Methodological Center for Sustainable
Development Goals at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The training session was conducted by Magtymguly Resulgulyev, a senior
specialist at the Scientific Department of the International University of Oil and
Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev. The Institute’s faculty members and
students attended the event.
In his speech at the training session, the specialist provided a detailed
overview of the significant efforts being undertaken in Turkmenistan to ensure the
efficient use of energy resources. He also discussed the introduction of innovative
technologies that promote environmental safety and waste-free production in
various sectors of the economy. He emphasized that protecting the environment
from harmful emissions and ensuring the rational use of natural resources are
among the key requirements of modern times.
Additionally, the speaker elaborated on the main sources of sustainable
energy, such as hydropower, wind energy, biomass, and others. During the training
session, students actively asked questions and shared their opinions on the future
of sustainable energy.
