THE CREATIVE FESTIVAL “NOWRUZ – CELEBRATION OF INSPIRATION AND RENEWAL”
On March 19, 2026, a creative festival titled “Nowruz – Celebration of Inspiration and Renewal” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, organized by the UNESCO Club “Culture of Peace” on the occasion of the International Poetry Day and the International Day of Nowruz.
The students and postgraduate students from all faculties of the Institute of the International Relations actively participated in this occasion. The objective of the festival is to promote the significance of Nowruz, to foster a culture of peace among youth, identify and encourage talented young individuals.
The festival consisted of three stages. In the first stage, participants presented exhibitions representing the culture, national costumes, handicrafts, and national cuisine of countries celebrating Nowruz. The second stage featured creative performances, including poetry recitations, musical acts and folklore presentations. The third stage included competitions in national sports games.
The rich cultural heritage of countries such as the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Turkiye, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was widely demonstrated during the event.
At the closing ceremony, the winners of the competition were determined by the jury and awarded certificates of honor and souvenirs.
The festival significantly contributed to strengthening friendship among youth, promoting intercultural dialogue and highlighting the spiritual values of Nowruz.
