WEBINAR ON “ETHICS OF NEUROTECHNOLOGIES”
On December 3, 2025, within the framework of preparation for the Fourth International UNESCO Model, held under the auspices of UNESCO, an international online webinar titled “Ethics of Neurotechnologies” took place. The event brought together representatives of the UNESCO Clubs and youth networks from various countries around the world.
The webinar was organized following the adoption of the UNESCO Consultation on the Ethics of Neurotechnologies (Samarkand, October 30 – November 13, 2025), with the aim of exploring related issues and examining the impact of global technological developments on society.
During the webinar, international experts provided detailed insights into the achievements of neurotechnologies, as well as their effects on human rights, personal data protection, human dignity and road safety.
Participants were also informed about preparations for the final stage of the UNESCO Model, which will be held in Hong Kong from December 12 to 15, 2025. In the concluding stage of the Fourth UNESCO Model, selected 32 young delegates will participate in international debates and will be recognized in categories such as “Best Initiative,” “Best Performing Delegate,” and “Best Project Presentation.”
At the end of the webinar, information was shared about additional features of the specially designed youth program, emphasizing the important role of young people in strengthening UNESCO’s international cooperation.
