TRAINING SEMINAR ON THE “EXTERNAL ECONOMIC SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CENTRAL ASIA + RUSSIA SUMMITS”
On April 21, 2026, the Scientific-Methodological Center for Sustainable Development Goals at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan organized a training seminar entitled “The External Economic Significance of Central Asia + Russia Summits.” The session was led by Nazar Meredov, Coordinator of the SDG Scientific-Methodological Center and instructor in the Department of International Economic Relations, and was attended by students from the Faculty of International Economic Relations.
The primary objective of the seminar was to discuss Russia’s cooperation with Central Asian states and to provide students with an in-depth analysis of how the “Central Asia + Russia” summits influence regional security and economic partnerships. During the seminar, participants explored the economic development of Central Asian nations and reviewed ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation in key fields, including energy, the digital economy, environmental protection, science, and education. Additionally, the sessions covered Russia’s political system, the role of its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and its security, energy, and trade policies within the broader dynamics of Russia–Central Asia relations.
The training seminar proved highly beneficial for the students, providing them with detailed insights and comprehensive answers to their professional inquiries.
