THE RIGHTS OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES TRAINING SEMINAR WAS HELD
On March 27, 2026, a training session on the rights of people with disabilities was held at the Scientific and Methodological Center for Sustainable Development Goals of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The session was led by Mr. Erkin Isakulov, Human Rights Advisor at the OHCHR Regional Office for Central Asia. Students from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the International University for Humanities and Development participated in the event.
During the lecture on «Standards of the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities» the speaker provided detailed information on the practical implementation of the fundamental rights of people with disabilities in accordance with international law.
A question-and-answer session with students concluded the lesson. Regularly conducting such training sessions significantly contributes to expanding students knowledge of international law and human rights.
