TRAINING SESSION HELD BY AN AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF MALAYSIA TO TURKMENISTAN
On November 26, 2025, Mohd Suhaimi Ahmed Tajuddin, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Turkmenistan conducted a training session on Malaysia's chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025 at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Malaysia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan gave a lecture about the foundation of ASEAN, its principles and current political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian activities, including the long-term future programs in these areas. Distinguished guest discussed the importance of the programs and the main principles of Malaysia's foreign policy and its relations with ASEAN countries.
Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Malaysia were established on May 17, 1992. The friendly relations between the two countries are developing day by day. Turkmenistan is further expanding its relations with Malaysia within the framework of the world's most prestigious international organization, the United Nations.
The training session greatly enhanced the knowledge of the future international experts studying at the National School of Turkmen Diplomacy in international relations and diplomacy.
