A Scientific and Practical Conference Dedicated to The 33rd Anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan Was Held
On September 23,2024, on the eve of the 33rd anniversary of the Independence
of Turkmenistan, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a scientific and practical conference titled Foreign
Policy and Diplomacy of Turkmenistan: Cooperation for Peace and Sustainable
Development. The event was attended by the director of the Institute of State, Law
and Democracy, politicians, teachers and students of the institute, as well as active
members of the School of Young Diplomats, created at the Institute of International
Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The conference
consisted of a general meeting and three thematic sections – Independence of
Turkmenistan: Opportunities for the Development of International Cooperation, Independence and Sovereignty are an Unshakable Sanctity, Economic Growth
during the years of Independence, Magtymguly Pyragy and the Teachings of the
Turkmen People about Independence. Participants of the meeting emphasized that
Independence has formed a reliable foundation for a powerful, dynamically
developing state that enjoys high prestige throughout the world, and over the past 33
years, large-scale work has been carried out to strengthen the foundations of a
democratic, legal and secular state.
Speakers at thematic sections noted that over the years of Independence,
Turkmenistan has achieved great success in foreign policy and diplomacy,
comprehensive modernization of economic sectors, and constant improvement of
the well-being of the population. In the socio-economic development of the country,
large-scale reforms are being carried out, national programs and projects are being
implemented.
As already mentioned, in the year The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly
Pyragy, our nation celebrates another significant date in the national chronicle, the
33rd anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan with new victories and
achievements. Each of them is inscribed in golden letters in the history of
independent and neutral Turkmenistan.
Thus, this scientific and practical conference, combined with the large-scale
celebration of Independence Day, strengthened the students sense of pride in their
Motherland.
