A fashion show of Turkmen national costumes was held
On January 7-9, 2024, a presentation of Turkmen national costumes was held under the joint organization of the Ashgabat City Hall, the National Committee of Turkmenistan for UNESCO-Private Affairs, and the Ashgabat Model House. The ceremony held at the model house was attended by the staff of the Secretariat of the National Committee of UNESCO, heads and members of UNESCO departments and clubs established on the basis of higher educational institutions located in the country.
In addition, the guest of honor from France, Ms. Hind Judai, leader of the "Oriental Fashion Show" Fashion Association, and her photographer, Jacques Famont Tamosini, participated in the event as well. Hind Zhudai noted with pride that he has not yet found such unique examples of hand paintings decorating the national costumes of the Turkmen people.
The fashion show also showcased women's festive dresses, men's formal suits and children's fancy dresses. Turkmen national costumes were highly appreciated by foreign guests.
