Professional Exchange Programme Takes Place in Tbilisi
On September 29, 2026, the official opening ceremony of the “Crossroads Diplomacy Network” Professional Exchange Programme was held in Tbilisi, Georgia. Running from September 29 to October 4, 2026, the programme aims to promote professional exchange and strengthen networks among young specialists from various countries-particularly from Central Asian states and Georgia working in diplomacy, international relations, and related fields.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, International Organizations, and Educational Institutions, alongside the programme participants. During the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Aleksandre Khvtiashvili officially opened the event and welcomed the attendees. Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Archil Karaulashvili also provided an overview of the programme’s main focus areas and objectives.
Throughout the first day, sessions focused on participant introductions, identifying expected outcomes of the exchange, teamwork, and communication skills development. These activities provided opportunities to establish effective cooperation and build new international professional networks.
Over the course of the programme, meetings and training sessions are being organized on Georgia’s foreign policy, diplomatic practices, and international cooperation. Instructors from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan are also participating in the “Crossroads Diplomacy Network” programme.
The meetings and professional exchanges held within the framework of the event are expected to enrich the participants’ professional knowledge, foster mutual understanding, and contribute to developing cooperation among representatives of different countries.
