THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR HAS STARTED
On September 1, 2025, a festive ceremony with songs and music was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth as well as the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year. The event, filled with joy and a festive spirit, was attended by the institute’s professors, teachers, students, and graduate students.
The ceremony, which began in the early morning with the performance of the State Anthem of Turkmenistan, aroused a special enthusiasm. Ata Serdarov, the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, read out the congratulatory message from our Esteemed President addressed to the schoolchildren, students, teachers, and education workers of the country on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth. This had a profound impact on the students of the national school of Turkmen diplomacy.
Then, the Rector of the Institute Gulshat Yusupova spoke, emphasizing the boundless care for the younger generation and the immense opportunities being created for them in our country.
Afterwards, Chary Niyazov, Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ph.D. in Technology, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Master diplomat of Turkmenistan gave a speech. He offered mentoring advice to future international relations specialists, especially first-year students, and wished them success. In the International Year of Peace and Trust, the literary and musical composition performed by first-year students in different languages made a particularly strong impression. On the one hand, it clearly demonstrated the students’ deep interest in Turkmenistan’s international policy, and on the other hand, it strengthened confidence that they will continue peace-loving traditions of Turkmen diplomacy in the future.
Following a time-honored tradition, graduating students handed over a symbolic key and student ID card—a special symbol of entry into the world of knowledge—to the newly admitted students.
The first bell rang, a touching moment came that announced the start of the new academic year. After these wonderful moments, the first-year students attended their first lesson of the year, entitled “The International Year of Peace and Trust”. The lesson was conducted by Nurberdi Amanmyradov, a lecturer at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan.
