THE WEBINAR WAS CONDUCTED THROUGH THE DIGITAL NETWORK
On May 5, 2025, a webinar was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. It was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality, the declaration of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” by the UN General Assembly, and the role of youth in this context.
Students of the Institute, as well as students and lecturers from Turkmenistan’s higher and secondary vocational education institutions, participated in it through the digital network.
During the webinar, Professor of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Begench Karayev delivered a speech on the topic “The Development of the Importance of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality Policy in International Relations”.
In his presentation, the distinguished lecturer discussed the historical roots of the country’s policy of permanent neutrality, and its positive experience in promoting peace, security, and sustainable development.
This webinar played a significant role in enhancing the knowledge not only of future international relations specialists but also of students from other fields about the international significance of Turkmenistan’s status of Permanent Neutrality.
