CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO SIGNIFICANT ANNIVERSARIES
On October 24, 2025, a scientific and practical conference titled “International Peace and Security as the Foundation of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was organized by the Department of Theory and Practice of Journalism.
The conference was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the United Nations and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality.
Representatives of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as teachers and students from various higher educational institutions attended the conference across the country.
As is well known, this year marks the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations. Recognized three times by the UN as a permanently neutral state, Turkmenistan continues to pursue a peaceful foreign policy and maintains productive cooperation with the United Nations and its specialized agencies over many years.
The scientific and practical conference served as an important platform for exchanging of views on promoting international peace and security, also helping to deepen students’ understanding of the main goals and activities of the United Nations.
The participants of the conference expressed their deep gratitude to the Honorable President of Turkmenistan, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag, for his outstanding initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation with international organizations.
