Legal protection of citizens
On September 23, a practical conference took place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on the issues of granting Turkmen citizenship to foreign citizens with the participation of employees of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and students of the Faculty of International Law of the Institute.
In other words, issues of granting citizenship of Turkmenistan to foreign citizens and stateless persons by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan and their legal status were discussed in a general context. In their speeches, the employees of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan told future specialists about migration processes in Turkmenistan, the powers of the state bodies of Turkmenistan to regulate the migration process in Turkmenistan, in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan on Displacement and the Law on Refugees, the Constitution of Turkmenistan and generally recognized norms of international law.
In addition, the attention of students was drawn to information about the conclusion of an employment contract based on a civil law contract for employment of foreign citizens or stateless persons in Turkmenistan.
During the event, the rules for granting citizenship to foreign citizens or stateless persons of the country were explained in the manner established by our Turkmenistan. In the end of the conference, the participants expressed their sincere gratitude to esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov.
