SCIENTIFIC-CREATIVE CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO CONCEPTS OF PEACE AND TRUST WAS HELD
On November 25, 2025, a scientific-creative conference entitled "The Formation of Linguistic Competence in the Historical Roots of Concepts of Peace and Trust" was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. It was organized by the Department of World Languages. The event, attended by the faculty members and students of the institute, was primarily dedicated to the development of linguistics, the creative world of the great philosopher and poet Magtymguly Pyragy, and the importance of learning foreign languages.
The conference featured speeches by Maya Atajanova, Senior lecturer of the Department of World Languages of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Gulalek Hangeldiyeva, a Senior Researcher at the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, and Korpe Ataniyazova, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of English Stylistics and Grammar of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University.
During the scientific-creative conference, the guest speakers provided detailed insights into the place of the concepts of peace and trust within the history and literary heritage of the Turkmen people. In particular, valuable thoughts were shared regarding the artistic expression of the peace-loving principles promoted in Magtymguly Pyragy’s poetry through linguistic means.
One of the central issues addressed at the event was the necessity of perfectly mastering foreign languages alongside preserving our native Turkmen language. Furthermore, the role of translation activities, which occupy a significant place in modern international relations, the nuances of this craft, and its contribution to bringing nations closer together were also highlighted.
This conference, which held great significance for the students of the institute, served as an impetus for the youth's scientific and creative research and helped to further deepen their knowledge in the field of linguistics.
