AN EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR WAS HELD
On September 30, 2026, an educational and methodological seminar was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was organized to implement the tasks arising from the general lesson conducted by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, at the Ruhyyet Palace in Arkadag City on September 2, 2026, and specifically to explain the essence and content of the country’s foreign policy and diplomacy.
Students from higher education institutions and school pupils from across the country attended the seminar.
During the seminar, Selbi Gandymova, a trainee lecturer at the institute’s Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, delivered a speech titled “Open Door Policy: International Prestige of Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan.” In her presentation, she elaborated on how the country’s “Open Door” policy originates from its neutral status, as well as its commitment to active cooperation and peaceful dialogue. Furthermore, using clear examples, she explained that the combination of these political vectors in the modern world serves as a key factor not only in securing economic interests but also in strengthening interregional stability, multilateral diplomacy, peace, and sustainable development.
In addition, students delivered presentations dedicated to Turkmenistan’s international initiatives in sustainable transport and logistics within the framework of the UN.
The regular organization of such events helps deepen the understanding of students and future international specialists regarding the country’s foreign policy course and the geopolitical importance of cooperation with the UN, while enhancing their political and diplomatic knowledge.
