Event Dedicated to the 31st Anniversary of the Introduction of the National Manat
On November 1, 2024, a creative competition entitled «Milli manadymyz - döwletimiziň berk binýady» («National manat is a Solid Foundation of Our State») was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the introduction of the national manat. This competition was organized by the scientific club «Young Economists» of the Department of International Economic Relations of the Institute.
As is known, the date of the invention of the national manat - November 1, 1993 - entered the annuals of the Fatherland as one of the significant events of the era of creative changes. The manat became an attribute of Turkmen statehood, a symbol of economic stability and a guiding factor in strengthening the country's independence.
The event was attended by students and masters of the Faculty of International Relations, International Law, International Economic Relations and International Journalism.
In the competition, consisting of 3 stages, firstly the teams had to present their currency in a short video or presentation, then they answered to quiz questions in which the participants had to guess the monetary units and flags of the countries of the world, and also demonstrated wallpapers related to the day of our national currency.
Based on the best results of all stages, the students of the Faculty of International Economic Relations became the winners of the competition. All teams were awarded Certificates of Honor and memorable gifts.
