On April 6, 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan together with the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly organized an Olympiad entitled “Watanyň daýanjy — bilimli ýaşlar, Arkadagly Gahryman Serdaryň guwanjy ýaşlar!”. The Olympiad was held on the occasion of the UN-declared International Day of Education. It was conducted among the 12th-grade students from across the country in the subjects of the History of Turkmenistan, Mathematics, Turkmen and English.
Currently, the state takes great care to ensure that our youth receive a modern education and grow into well-rounded individuals with a broad outlook. The adoption of the revised Law of Turkmenistan “On State Youth Policy” is a clear testament to this commitment. Furthermore, the “Strategy for International Cooperation of the Youth of Turkmenistan for 2023–2030”, approved by the Decree of our Esteemed President, creates extensive opportunities and favorable conditions for the comprehensive development of international youth collaboration. The strategy aims to strengthen friendly relations between the youth of Turkmenistan and other nations and to ensure their regular participation in international forums and scientific competitions abroad for the exchange of ideas and experience.
The Olympiad organized by the national school of Turkmen diplomacy in subjects of the History of Turkmenistan, Mathematics, Turkmen and English, is of great importance in assessing the intellectual level of the country's students. The primary goal of the competition is to identify talented students, determine their proficiency in subjects required for entrance examinations, and further develop their skills across various disciplines.
Nearly 900 school students from all regions of the country, as well as from the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, participated in the first round of the subject Olympiad. The results of this round will be posted on the institute's official website in the near future. Those who successfully pass earns the right to participate in the second round of the Olympiad.
