MEETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF ESTONIA TO TURKMENISTAN
On March 17, 2025, the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to
Turkmenistan Jaap Ora (with residence in Astana) had a visit to the Institute of
International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. At the
beginning of his visit, the meeting was held between the Rector of the Institute and
the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, priority areas of partnership between Turkmenistan and
Estonia were discussed, including cooperation in the field of science and
education.
After the meeting, the guest visited the Museum of the History of Turkmen
Diplomacy and the UNESCO Club “Culture of Peace”.
After that, the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Turkmenistan Jaap
Ora gave a lecture on the topic “Эстония в мире”. In addition, the Ambassador
talked about politico-diplomatic, socio-economic and cultural-humanitarian sectors
of bilateral relations, and also the main priorities of the Turkmen-Estonian
multilateral relations in the field of international organizations.
As we know, the diplomatic relations between friendly nations were
established in 2015. Since then Turkmen-Estonian fraternal relations have been
increasingly developed and broadened day by day. In the field of multilateral
relations, the Republic of Estonia supports the international initiatives of
Turkmenistan aimed to contribute to international peace, security and sustainable
development in the sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
The lecture greatly assisted the future diplomats studying at the National
School of Turkmen Diplomacy to learn international relations and diplomacy in
practice.
