INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE WAS HELD
On October 15, 2025, at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, an international scientific conference entitled “The Role of Peace and Trust in the dictionary of Mahmud Kashgari “Divanu Lugat-At-Turk” was held in a hybrid format. Within the framework of the event, there was a presentation ceremony of Magtymguly Pyragy’s book “Ashyk bolmusham”, prepared by the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation.
The conference was attended by scholars from Turkmenistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of India, the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Türkiye, as well as representatives of higher education institutions in Turkmenistan, professors, lecturers and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The speakers highlighted the research being conducted in Turkmenistan on Mahmud Kashgari’s “Divanu lugat-it-turk”, the contribution of the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation to the preservation and promotion of this work as part of the spiritual heritage of the Turkic world, the importance of the dictionary in studying Turkic languages, and the scholarly works devoted to it. They also discussed how humanistic values are reflected in the work and shared related scientific perspectives.
The international scientific conference continued its work in the sections entitled “The Contribution of Mahmud Kashgari’s “Divanu Lugat-At-Turk” to World Philology” and “The Role of Mahmud Kashgari’s “Divanu Lugat-At-Turk” in the Development of Humanitarian Science”.
