EVENT HELD ON THE OCCASION OF INTERNATIONAL DAY OF OLDER PERSONS
On October 1, 2026, a solemn event was held to mark the International Day of Older Persons, jointly organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, the Administration of Berkararlyk District of Ashgabat City, public organizations of the institute, and the UNESCO Club “Culture of Peace”. Professors, teachers, students of the institute and guests, attended the event.
During the ceremony, administration representatives of the Institute delivered speeches, highlighting the role of the older generation in our society, their educational influence on youth, their mentorship, and their significant contributions to passing our national values on to future generations, while warmly congratulating them on the holiday. They also elaborated on the festive significance of the International Day of Older Persons.
At the most memorable moments of the event, senior professors and lecturers who have dedicated many years of diligent service to the institute were presented with souvenirs on behalf of the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan.
At the end of the ceremony, the participants expressed their gratitude to our esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar and to the Hero Arkadag for the opportunities, created and efforts for well-being of a nation.
