Meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Turkmenistan with Turkmen students
On November 25, 2024 the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting with the attendance of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Turkmenistan Bernd Heinze and Turkmen students, studying German language. The meeting was attended by students from such higher education institutions as the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Magtymguly Turkmen State University and Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages.
During the meeting, the distinguished ambassador spoke about the achievements and work carried out between Turkmenistan and the Federal Republic of Germany in political, diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. It should be noted that one of the long-standing partners of Turkmenistan in the field of teaching foreign languages is the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD, the largest provider of scholarships in Germany for foreigners. In the context, the implementation of the Concept of improving the teaching of foreign languages in Turkmenistan is being implemented using the best world experience and the possibilities of international cooperation. In fact, consultations of the DAAD service in Ashgabat have been held since 1997. As is well known, the Federal Republic of Germany is one of the main partners of Turkmenistan. In this regard, holding such regular meetings provide an excellent opportunity for foreign specialists and students learning German to get acquainted with the partner country in more detail.
The meeting became more effective by sharing interesting questions between the honorable ambassador and the students of higher education.
At the end of the meeting, the ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the possibility of successful development of constructive interstate cooperation on the principles of mutual respect and trust.
