LECTURE DEDICATED TO TURKMEN-CHINESE RELATIONS IN THE ENERGY SECTOR
On April 28, 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a lecture titled “Turkmen-Chinese Cooperation in the Energy Sector.” The session was conducted by Ovezdurdy Mukhammetberdiyev, Doctor of Sociological Sciences and Professor of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy.
During the lecture, the professor provided a comprehensive overview of the priority areas of the country’s energy diplomacy.In particular, the lecturer detailed the ongoing efforts to diversify the export of Turkmen natural gas to international markets. Furthermore, he highlighted the economic and geopolitical significance of the newly initiated Line D (4th branch) of the Turkmenistan–China gas pipeline.
The students engaged actively in the discussion, asking questions regarding the diplomatic support for large-scale energy projects and receiving valuable professional advice relevant to their future careers in this field.
