ECO-QUEST TITLED “ECOLOGICAL WELL-BEING – THE BEAUTY OF THE EARTH” WAS HELD AT THE INSTITUTE
On May 5, 2026, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted an eco-quest environmental campaign titled “Ecological Well-being – The Beauty of the Earth”. The event was jointly organized by the UNESCO Club “Culture of Peace” of the Institute and the Public organization “Ýaş tebigatçy (Young Naturalist)” in the spirit of the year’s motto “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of purposeful winged Horses”. It aimed to enhance environmental awareness among young people, foster a responsible attitude toward nature and promote environmental protection.
The event began with an educational awareness session attended by specialists from the public organization “Ýaş tebigatçy”. During the meeting, discussions focused on the significance of World Environment Day, the importance of protecting natural resources and the growing role of ecological diplomacy in the modern world. Special emphasis was placed on the fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNESCO, as well as on the large-scale work being carried out to preserve national heritage and natural wealth. It was noted that international initiatives of the UNESCO in peace, culture and nature conservation are crucial for developing environmental awareness among young people.
As highlighted in the speeches, under the wise leadership of the esteemed President of Turkmenistan, the country actively participates in international conventions and consistently implements important initiatives aimed at developing a “green” economy, combating desertification, preserving biodiversity and ensuring ecological well-being. Activities in this direction play a key role in shaping the ecological culture of the younger generation.
Following the theoretical session, the event moved into a practical phase. As part of the environmental campaign, participants were engaged in improving the institute’s territory by caring for garden areas, landscaping educational zones and cleaning the surrounding environment.
During the event, students who showed outstanding activity and creativity were awarded incentive gifts by the public organization “Ýaş tebigatçy”.
Such events are of great importance for increasing youth responsibility toward the environment, studying the foundations of ecological diplomacy and promoting healthy lifestyle principles.
At the end of the event, participants expressed their sincere gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the wide opportunities created in the country for environmental protection, ensuring ecological well-being and supporting youth initiatives aimed at preserving nature.
