INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC PROJECT COMPETITION "THE ROLE OF YOUTH IN ACHIEVING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS" WAS HELD
On June 1-2, 2026, the S. A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University hosted the second round of the International Scientific Project competition for students of national and foreign higher education Institutions, titled “The Role of Youth in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals”. This competition was dedicated to World Environment Day, celebrated in the year of “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan - the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses” and the glorious 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence.
At the opening ceremony, it was specifically noted that Turkmenistan is one of the first countries to officially adopt all 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. It was also emphasized that the country’s social-economic policy is fully aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The fourth annual competition aims to advance international cooperation, develop networks between students, and inspire a deeper engagement with science.
The outcomes of the International Scientific Project competition, “The Role of Youth in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals”, demonstrate the advanced ecological literacy and innovative problem-solving capabilities of the students. It confirms that, as a result of our Honorable President’s science and education policy, the potential of the education system in ensuring ecological well-being is being actively realized in our country.
