On March 30, 2022, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Department of World Languages organized a poetry recitation event where students showed their talent in reciting poems in different languages .
The students of the Institute took an active part in the poetry recitation event. During the event, students recited poems in the languages taught at the Institute, namely, Turkmen, English, Russian, French, German, Arabic, Persian, Chinese and Japanese.
The main purpose of reciting poems in different languages was to help students develop their language and speaking skills, to love and learn foreign languages, to develop their abilities, to develop their critical and analytical thinking and working skills.
It is known, the language of every nation is its historical memory, which is reflected in the word, and it is an important part of the culture of one or another nation and a means of conveying it to others. It has an impact on the formation of people’s worldviews. Poems are mainly used in words, art and many meanings. They are very important for students to understand the spirit of those languages. When working with grammar and other means, the closer the spirit of the language being learned through the poems, the greater the success of mastering those languages.
