Webinar on “The Role of Youth in Building Culture of Peace and Trust”
On April 25, 2025, a webinar entitled “The Role of Youth in Building
Culture of Peace and Trust” was held at the Institute of International Relations of
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 30th anniversary
of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, the Decleration “2025 year –
International Year of Peace and Trust” by the United Nations General Assembly
and the role of youth in implementing the policy of Turkmenistan in the world. The
webinar was attended by students of the institute, as well as students and teachers
from higher and secondary educational institutions of Turkmenistan via digital
platforms.
The webinar featured a presentation by Aygozel Ovezova, a senior lecturer
at the Department of World Languages at the Institute of International Relations. In
her speech, she highlighted the neutral policy of Turkmenistan in international
relations, its historical roots, and its importance in ensuring peace, security, and
sustainable development in the modern world. The discussion also covered the
achievements made during the implementation of the country’s policy of peaceful
foreign relations, the importance of the “Concept of the Foreign Policy Course of
Neutral Turkmenistan for 2022-2028,” and the role of Turkmen youth in the
systems of domestic and foreign policy, which left a significant impact on the
students.
This webinar was of great importance not only for enhancing the knowledge
of future international specialists but also for students who will work in other
sectors implementing the position of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan in the
world.
