Workshop entitled “Modern methods of teaching foreign languages”
On June 11, 2022, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a training seminar on “Modern methods of teaching foreign languages” organized by the Department of World Languages. The seminar was attended by the teaching staff of the Department of World Languages of the Institute and "Gujurly nesil" Educational Center located in the capital city of Ashgabat. The instructors of the Department of World Languages of the Institute O. Hemzayev, G. Hallyyev, S. Nazarova and “Gujurly nesil” Educational Center Ş. Atayeva and the Center’s methodologist M. Amanniyazov delivered speeches at the seminar.
The participants exchanged views on new methods and best practices in teaching foreign languages. The meeting was very interesting and effective. Methods of teaching foreign languages to people of different ages were widely discussed. The teachers exchanged experiences on the organization of various games, scenes, discussions, debates, the use of songs, poems, computers, the Internet, instructional materials, and technical aids.
At present, it is impossible to become a professional without knowing foreign languages. Because the 21st century is a very fast-paced era of science and technology in human history. Owing to the tireless efforts of our highly esteemed President, the scientific and educational sphere in our country is being developed in a comprehensive and harmonious manner in line with the advanced requirements of the times.
