Training Seminar on the Implementation of the Requirements of the UN Convention Against Corruption and the Best Practices of OSCE Member States
On April 1-2, 2025, a training seminar on the best practices of OSCE member states in fulfilling the requirements of the UN Convention Against Corruption was held at the OSCE Center in Ashgabat. The seminar was attended by representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and its subordinate institutions, the Prosecutor General's Office of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of National Security of Turkmenistan, the Central Bank of Turkmenistan, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, the Academy of State Administration under the President of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The training seminar was conducted by Zurab Sanikidze, an expert from the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Serbia. During the seminar, the OSCE expert provided an in-depth discussion on the UN Convention Against Corruption, the role and responsibilities of UN member states within its review mechanism, the best practices of OSCE member states in implementing the convention, and anti-corruption prevention policies. This seminar was highly impactful for the participants.
