A MEETING WAS HELD ON THE UPCOMING UNITED NATIONS FORUM IN AVAZA
On July 14, 2025, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a meeting was held dedicated to the III Forum of the United Nations on the Development of Landlocked Developing Countries, which will take place from August 4 to 8th this year in Avaza National Tourist Zone. The meeting was attended by the selected speakers and volunteers from the teachers and students of all higher education institutions.
During the meeting, the speakers emphasized the importance of fulfilling the tasks arising from the instructions given by our Hero Arkadag at the State Coordination Council meeting held on July 13, 2025. They noted that at the 63rd plenary session held on April 11 of this year, during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, a resolution was adopted regarding holding this forum in our country, with 57 countries worldwide acting as co-authors of this document.
In this regard, on July 4 of this year, our esteemed President signed a Decree “On Holding the Third Meeting of the United Nations on Landlocked Developing Countries” which outlines the high organizational level at which the forum and related activities should be conducted.
The initiatives advanced by our country during the era of the Revival of the Independent State are widely recognized by the international community. The forthcoming forum to be held on the shores of the Caspian Sea in Avaza, the sea of friendship and brotherhood, will be an important event to promote global development.
