A CONFERENCE ON THE DIRECTIONS OF DEVELOPMENT OF STEM METHODOLOGY IN THE EDUCATION SYSTEM WAS HELD
On September 30, 2026, a scientific-practical conference titled “Important Issues of Integrating STEM Methodology into the Education System and Directions for Development” was organized by the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan. Alongside other higher educational institutions of the country, professors and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan participated in the conference online.
The program of the plenary session of the conference featured presentations dedicated to various areas, such as the role of artificial intelligence technologies in the STEM concept, the application of STEM methodology in teaching econometrics, the importance of the STEM approach in physics laboratory classes, the pedagogical foundations of STEM education, and the role of chemical experiments in developing students’ creative abilities.
Furthermore, the conference discussed issues related to economics, technology, and education: key directions for introducing STEM methodology to ensure sustainable growth of the labor market in the digital economy, improving mathematical thinking through STEM technologies, utilizing artificial intelligence technologies, and employing complex projects in STEM education. Currently, the digitalization of the education system, the development of artificial intelligence, and innovative technologies demonstrate the necessity of training specialists with a new mindset, possessing a high level of research and practical skills. In this regard, the introduction of STEM methodology into the education system acts as one of the key directions aimed at developing students’ and master’s degree students’ creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and practical abilities. Holding such scientific events is of great importance for expanding youth’s understanding of modern economic and technological developments, increasing their interest in scientific research, and improving their future professional preparation.
Scientific presentations by professors, teachers, and master’s students from various higher educational institutions were delivered at the conference. It is worth noting that the STEM methodology is widely used in various fields of education and has become one of the most important areas of modern education. The participants of the conference expressed deeper gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar who created all opportunities to youth for studying and learning.
