A TRAINING SEMINAR “ANTIMONOPOLY REGULATION AND SUPPORT OF COMPETITION” WAS HELD
On March 25–26, 2026, online training seminar titled “Antimonopoly Regulation and Support of Competition” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The seminar was organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat. The seminar was attended by the representatives from the following entities as the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, the Ministry of Textile Industry, the Ministry of Communication, the Ministry of Railway Transportion, the Central Bank, the State Customs Service, the State Committee on Statistics, and as well as the State Corporations: “Turkmennebit”, “Turkmengaz” and “Turkmenhimiýa” and The Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists. The Instructors and lectures of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, and the Turkmen State Finance Institute participated in the event.
The main objective of the seminar is to highlight the importance of an effective trade policy aimed at Turkmenistan’s successful joining to the World Trade Organization (WTO). The seminar was conducted by international economic expert Anait Smbatyan. At the session, the information regarding specifics of the best international practices in supporting business competition, management principles of multinational companies and the significance of international economic organizations was given in detail.
Both theoretical and practical features of presentations given during the seminar, have great impact on the participants, contributing significantly to the further development of their professional expertise.
