A SCIENTIFIC – CREATIVE CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO OUR PHILOSOPHER POET
n May 21, 2025, a scientific – creative conference entitled "The Key to Understanding Magtymguly” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was organized within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust, and aimed to promote the literary heritage of our philosopher-poet Magtymguly Pyragy among the youth.
The conference was jointly organized by the Department of Theory and Practice of Journalism and “Young Journalists” scientific club of the institute.
During the event, participants discussed Turkmenistan’s peaceful foreign policy strategy, the achievements of national diplomacy, and the significance of Magtymguly Pyragy’s works as a symbol of humanism, peace, and moral education. Particular attention was paid to international initiatives aimed at immortalizing the name of the great poet.
The importance of the book by our esteemed President, “Magtymguly – Thinker of Peace,” was especially noted, as its title served as the inspiration for the conference’s theme. In the speeches, it was emphasized that holding such events during the International Year of Peace and Trust contributes to strengthening mutual understanding and cultural dialogue among nations.
Special emphasis was placed on the active participation of young people—especially future international journalists in preserving and promoting the spiritual values embodied in Magtymguly’s literary works.
Participants of the conference expressed sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and the esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for their significant contribution to the preservation and global popularization of Magtymguly Pyragy’s literary heritage, which continues to inspire generations and unite nations.
