An online conference was dedicated to enhancing journalism knowledge
From November 24 to 26, 2021 at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat was held an online conference named “Assistance in raising the level of journalism education and the professional training of journalists”. The online conference was attended by the experts from the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat, an international expert from the United Kingdom, and the students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and International University for the Humanities and Development. John McGregor, Head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat, and Mr. Zurab Kodalashvili, an international expert for the United Kingdom, analyzed the significant issues on the ethics of journalism in mass media and the importance of the interactions of highly-trained journalists with public. At the end of the three-day conference, the speakers expressed their deep gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the President of Turkmenistan for their work on establishing close cooperation with the organization.
