TRAINING SESSION WAS HELD WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE REPUBLIC OF ZIMBABWE
On February 25, 2026, a training session was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan as part of the visit to Turkmenistan by a delegation led by Albert Ranganai Chimbindi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Zimbabwe. The representatives of the Republic of Zimbabwe, as well as the professors, lecturers and students of the Institute attended this session.
During the training session, Mr. Albert Chimbindi delivered the speech in detail about the priorities of foreign policy of Zimbabwe, especially in cooperation within the African Union, and the role of developing countries in modern global politics. Moreover, the guest highly praised the importance of Turkmenistan’s status of permanent Neutrality in maintaining peace and stability not only in the region but also on a global scale. Additionally, discussions centered on the vast opportunities for political-diplomatic, economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
The session was not only composed of speeches, but also took the form of a conversation. The future diplomats of the Institute asked questions of interest regarding economic developments in the African continent, trade relations and joint activities within international organizations. The representatives highlighted the students’ innovative views on world politics, noting that the exchange of experience in the education system would further strengthen the bridges of friendship between the youth of the two countries.
After the meeting, an introductory tour of the Institute was conducted. The guests were introduced to the Historical Museum of the Turkmen Diplomacy. This tour left a pleasant impression on the honored guests.
This event became a clear proof of “Open Doors” policy of Turkmenistan and its consistent efforts to bring relations with the African continent to a new, qualitatively high level.
