June 3: The World Bicycle Day
On June 3, 2024, a mass bike ride was held in Ashgabat with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the World Bicycle Day. Among sports fans, students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan took part in it.
This holiday, emphasizing the importance of such universal human values as adherence to the principles of health, friendship and humanism, opens up great opportunities for the widespread promotion of sport as a symbol of establishing effective cooperation based on the principles of mutual trust, understanding and humanism.
The World Bicycle Day is celebrated annually on June 3 not only in our country, but also in many countries of the world on the basis of the Resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly on April 12, 2018, at the initiative of Turkmenistan.
