Meeting with the heads of the European Union Delegation to Turkmenistan
On March 10, 2021, a meeting was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ambassador of the European Union to Turkmenistan Diego Ruiz Alonso, Deputy Ambassador Renato Wrobel and delegate of the Office Nazik Ovlyakulova and students and the teaching staff of the Institute. The guests got acquainted with the work of the Scientific and Methodological Centre for Sustainable Development Goals at the Institute and highly estimated the results of educational and methodological and scientific work carried out in the Centre.
Then the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Turkmenistan Diego Ruiz Alonso delivered a speech for the students of the Institute on cooperation between the European Union and our country, as well as on joint projects and implementation of agreements in the field of science and education.
The guest noted with satisfaction that relations between Turkmenistan and the European Union have been rapidly developing in recent years. Noting that the development of mutually beneficial relations with Turkmenistan is one of the main directions of the external political activity of the EU, he stressed the importance of further promoting traditional cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, question and answer session was organized, where students and the Faculty had opportunity to ask questions and exchange views on topical issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union.
