A MEETING WITH THE DEPUTY OF MEJLIS OF TURKMENISTAN
On March 6, 2023, a meeting was held with professors and students of the Institute with the participation of the head of the Economics and Analysis Department of "Automobile Transport Service" open joint-stock company Atageldi Dovletgeldievich Paltaev and his representatives at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This meeting was devoted to the elections of the Mejlis deputies of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation, and as well as the deputes of the velayat, etrap and city people’s councilors and members of council of the fifth convocation which will be held on March 26, 2023.
As it should be noted that Turkmenistan continues active preparations for the most important socio-political elections of the deputies of the Mejlis, Halk Maslakhaty, members of the velayats, the etraps. At present, meetings of voters with candidates are being held everywhere.
During the meeting, those speaking underlined that elections should be held on the principles of alternativeness, transparency and openness, confirming Turkmenistan’s commitment to the democratic and the course of progressive reforms.
During the meeting, the deputy spoke about the importance of the Law of Turkmenistan “On State Youth Policy”, its changes, additions and educating the youth in the spirit of decency and patriotism. As part of the activity, a question-and-answer session was held with the students.
At the end of the meeting, the participants thanked the Honourable President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people who provide all the opportunities to conduct the open and transparent elections of Mejlis deputies of Turkmenistan, velayat, etrap and local people’s councils and members of council.
