EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL SEMINAR DEDICATED TO THE FOREIGN POLICY AND DIPLOMACY OF TURKMENISTAN
On September 23, 2026, an educational and methodological seminar was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was organized in accordance with the program of educational and explanatory actions for the academic year, aimed at gaining a deep understanding of the historical significance of the general lesson conducted by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at the Ruhyyet Palace in the city of Arkadag on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, as well as the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year. University and secondary school students participated in this event.
Rahym Akmyradov, a lecturer at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the Institute, led the educational and methodological seminar. During the seminar, detailed information was provided on the main directions of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan, the significance of our country’s status of Permanent Neutrality in international relations, and the principles of its peaceful and goodwill-oriented foreign policy.
The seminar also provided interesting information on the role of diplomacy in contemporary international relations and the importance of activities of diplomats in developing friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between states. Special attention was given to the effective cooperation of Turkmenistan with countries around the world and international organizations, as well as the increasing authority of our country in the international arena.
At the end of the educational and methodological seminar, the university and secondary school students addressed the lecturer with their questions of interest.
