Seminar on Energy Diplomacy
These days, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan organizes training sessions with participation of the Ambassadors of Turkmenistan who represent Turkmenistan in different countries of the world.
On December 30, 2022, a seminar on energy diplomacy was held at the Educational Center for the Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan established at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United Arab Emirates Serdarmammet Garajayev and the students of the Institute. The seminar was devoted to the cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Persian Gulf countries in the field of energy.
During the seminar, H.E. Serdarmammet Garajayev told about priorities in the energy sector, analyzed global and regional trends, and highlighted the relationship between international energy security and sustainable development in the oil and gas sector.
During the lesson, the role and importance of resolving key issues of energy diplomacy in the field of international relations were discussed in detail. It is known that the UN Resolutions on energy, transport and water resources contributes to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and the “The program for the development of energy diplomacy of Turkmenistan for 2021-2025.” In general, the seminar was very useful for the students.
