A ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION ON THE “HISTORY OF PARTHIAN-ROMAN DIPLOMACY”
On October 25, 2025, a round table discussion titled “History of Parthian-Roman Diplomacy” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with participation of the professors, lecturers and students of the Institute. This event was organized by the Department of Social Sciences.
During the discussion, the speakers provided in-depth presentations covering the official visit of Esteemed President to Italy, the historical importance of the ancient city of Nisa, located along the Great Silk Road, in promoting trade, diplomatic and cultural relations among nations, as well as the strategic role of ancient Parthia, located between the great empires of Rome and China, in facilitating interactions between the East and the West. The presentations were rich in content and highly impressive.
At the end of the presentation, students addressed the speakers with questions of interest to them. The discussion was an important educational event, fostering among the young generation values of patriotism, peace loving, goodwill and professional competence.
