A METHODOLOGICAL CONSULTATION WAS HELD ON PUBLISHING IN INDEXED JOURNALS
On November 11, 2025, a methodological conference entitled “The impact factor, the hirsch index and the citation index” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The conference was attended by teaching staff from all departments of the Institute. The conference was led by Arslan Charyyev, Head of the Department of International Relations at the International University for the Humanities and Development.
During the conference A.Charyyev spoke in detail about the role and importance of impact factor, h-index and citation index in writing scientific articles. In addition, he mentioned the types of citation indexes, as well as the relevant bibliometric indicators: Scopus, Google Scholar, and Russian Science Citation Index.
At the end of the conference, the participants asked their interested questions. Regular organization of such methodological conferences helps to enhance the professional development of teaching staff and to implement scientific achievements in practice.
