THE SEMINAR WAS CONDUCTED
On November 20, 2024, a seminar entitled «Economic Significance of the Construction of the Warehouse Complex at the “Dry Port” of the Turgundi Railway Station» organized by the Training Center for Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The seminar was conducted by Rovshen Kakajanov, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, a specialist of the private company «Bir Kuwwat».
During the seminar, the participants were informed about several major projects in energy, transport-communication and logistics, launched on September 11, 2024, with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag. These projects include the main stage of the Serhetabat-Herat Gas Pipeline of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India Gas Pipeline, as well as the construction of the optical fiber communication system and the «Shatlyk-1» gas compressor station in Mary velayat.
Additionally, the first phase of the Turgundi-Herat railway, including the Turgundi-Sanabar section and the construction of the Warehouse Complex at the “Dry Port” of the Turgundi railway station, alongside the economic importance of the 177-meter-long railway bridge at the Turkmen-Afghan border in Serhetabat-Turgundi railway crossing were discussed.
The students and postgraduates had the opportunity to ask questions and enhance their knowledge in transport diplomacy.
